Invincible

I don't have nerves of steel
I have a heart that feels
I may have cried a million
tears but I wont drown
I let myself unfold
Gave you my hand to hold
You took me beyond where
I could see
And then you let go of me. .

Chorus:
I was damaged by the fall
Got the wind knocked out of me
To be standing here at all
I must be invincible
I thought that I would break
But now I have come to see
Something strong and beautiful
Inside of me
I must be invincible

I dont have X-rays eyes
Don't have a heart so wise
How could I have known
you'd let me down

If I had known that then
my eyes were wide open
I still believe I would've risked it
There's no way i would've missed it

Chorus:
I was damaged by the fall
Got the wind knocked out of me
To be standing here at all
I must be invincible
I thought that I would break
But now I have come to see
Something strong and beautiful
Inside of me
I must be invincible

Hey yeah yeah. . . its a
blessing and a curse
Hey yeah yeah. . . But
you find out just
what you're worth.

I was damaged by the fall
Got the wind knocked out of me
To be standing here at all
I must be invincible

I thought that I would break
But now I have come to see
Something strong and beautiful
Inside of me

My faith demands -- this is not optional -- my faith demands that I do whatever I can, wherever I am, whenever I can, for as long as I can with whatever I have to try to make a difference."

"I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious Ambiguity."

Don't Want An Ending

I like the lyrics of this song.

Don't Want An Ending

I don't wanna fall out
But we're all out of time
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)
In one day
No way you'll be mine
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)

Ooohhh...

My heart is running on empty
One more day and then we go
Yeah, the time goes on now
Don't ask me how
I don't know
We'll be home tomorrow
About a thousand miles too far away?
Say you won't forget and i'll be okay

At least tonight
It's just you and me and honestly
That's everything i need

I don't wanna fall out
But we're all out of time
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)
In one day
No way you'll be mine
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)

Tonight's the countdown
'Till the day we're not around
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)
And you're gone
And we're on with our lives
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)
I don't want an ending

Don't want an ending...

The days turn to hours
And it’s just a moment before they go
I’m scared to say goodbye,
‘Cause what’s after that?
I don’t know.

As the years look past us
If we lose track,
Or lose the fight,

I will search forever
To find a way back..

To tonight
Where it's just you and me and honestly
That's everything I need

I don't wanna fall out
But we're all out of time
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)
In one day
No way you'll be mine
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)

Tonight's the countdown
'Til the day we're not around
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)
And you're gone
And we're on with our lives
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)
I don't want an ending

We said "see ya later"
But I know there's no way we're
Around here again (yeah)
And every until next time
Feels like one bad punch line
And I don't want that again

I don't wanna fall out
But we're all out of time
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)
In one day
No way you'll be mine
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)

I don't wanna fall out
But we're all out of time
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)
In one day
No way you'll be mine
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)

Tonight's the countdown
'Til the day we're not around

(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)
And you're gone
And we're on with our lives
(Is this over?)
(Don't want an ending)
(Noo) I
Don't want an ending
(All out of time)
Don't want an ending
Don't want an ending

Thanks!

So far, this year’s birthday can be considered extra-ordinary:

- It started as early as March 8 and ended last Sunday (March 24)

- It has the most number of lunch and dinners:

o Dinner with teammates (Ruel, Cesar, Aleli and family, Bunso, JK and Ryan) at Picadilly

o Dinner with Jeng, Anai, Gen, Jen, Dru, Jon and Joy in Kokopelli

o Dinner with highschool classmates (Arnel, Than-than, Jheck and Biboy) at Crustacian in Trinoma

o Lunch with Miko , SC , Gem, Bibo and Erik in Sbarro

o Dinner cum seafood tripping with 77 GSI friends (Zeny, Roselle , Thea, Estie, Peter, Lucy, Dexter, Eileen and Mario) in Dampa Ortigas

o Lunch buffet with Jovic, Ally and Zai in Italianni’s

o Dinner with JP and Victor in a Mexican resto in Cybergate

o Dinner with family at home where I cooked carbonara

o College friends get-together with Richie, Jannette, Mike, Cesar and Rio in Greenbelt Parkplace.

o Dinner with Mama, Cherie, Bryan and Tina in a resto nearby PAL office

- It is the birthday where I got the most number of birthday cake – a strawberry cheese cake with fresh strawberry slices, 3 dulce de leche (2 big and a small one) and a rectangular chocolate cake. I think that offset all those years that I got no birthday cake

- For this year, I never expect for gifts. But I got a couple of surprises – a card signed by friends, a special gmail account and more. And I bought my self my own PSP.

For all those who find time to celebrate with me, super thank you!

three decades and a year

Dear Lord.

I am officially 31 years old today.

As usual, I don’t feel my age. I guess my mental age is stuck at 25 – still too young to know everything but old enough to know what’s right from wrong.

I am thankful for the people sent to accompany me in this journey. I feel blessed to have all of them in my life. I am grateful to be a son, a brother, a friend, a student, a classmate, a subordinate, a leader, a mentor, etc.

I am thankful for the hurdles and potholes placed along the way to challenge my capabilities and skills. Each hurdle is a reminder that there are more to learn.

I am thankful for allowing me to make mistakes and learn from it.

There are a lot of things I realized lately and one of them is that I am a good person. I may have some imperfections but I am not a hopeless case. I should love myself more.

Amen.

Bakit sya...

bakit sya?
hmmm... di ko alam
siguro sa tingin ko
sya yung nararapat sa'kin
sa tingin ko
tugma sa mga hinahanap ko-
simple lang
madaling kausapin
masarap pakinggan
nauunawaan nya topak ko
napapagtiyagaan akong kausap

bakit di yung iba?
mas maraming namang 'mas' pa sa kanya.
siguro
di ko kailangan yung 'mas' na yun
aanhin ko yun
kung di naman kami magkasundo
komportable na kasi ako sa kanya
kahit anong mood ko nasasakyan nya
simple lang ang buhay,
wag na nating gawing kumplikado
dahil sa mga 'mas' na yan.
oo nga lamang yung iba
sa ganda at porma
at nakakatempt sila
pero,
sa choice ko wala silang panama

masaya naman ako
sa mga katangian nya
ayos lang naman sa kin
ang kabuuan nya
pag kasama ko sya,
dun lumalabas ang
tunay na ako.
di ko na kailangan magkunwari pa...
pwede akong magbiro,
at natatawa naman sya.
pwede rin akong magseryoso,
nakikinig pa rin sya.
kahit anong bagay
napapag-usapan namin...
minsan malalim,
madalas mababaw lang

so, lagi kayong ok?
hindi naman
may mga instances na
nagtatampo siya...
ayaw magresponse,
kung sasagot man, matagal
nakakatakot para sa kin yun.
kasi di ko alam kung
may nagawa akong mali
o baka naman nagtampo
dahil may di ako nagawa
o baka may nasagot akong
di nya nagustuhan

mahirap talagang sagutin
o ipaliwanag kung bakit sya
ang gusto ko.
ang alam ko lang
mahal ko sya kung ano man sya
at kung anong meron sya
mahal ko pa rin sya sa mga
bagay na hindi sya.
masaya ako kasama sya
di ko namamalayan
ang paglipas ng oras
kung kami lang dalawa magkasama.

AKO AT ANG AKING LAPTOP.

I'm back to Blogging

I came here in Petaling Jaya with no luggage but with a box instead. My stuffs weigh around 40 kilos with the luggage I am using so I decided to put them in an unused balikbayan from Toots. The last night is pain-staking and draining for I have left a lot of stuffs. I am going back home on March anyway.

For the very first time, the whole family is wit h me in the airport. It is usually my younger brother Bryan who accompanied me to the airport but for this departure, everyone is there. Good thing, there’s no crying scene. Maybe because they, especially my mom, are used to me leaving home and be back after a few months. Also, used to not having me home.

Then another first. It is first time to travel as an overseas contract worker. Bagong bayani as they say. This time I don’t have to pay for terminal fee. I just need to have my OEC validated and signed then off to check-in my big box. As expected, I got 14 kilos excess baggage which cost me 112 usd. Got my Malaysian Airline ticket for 50 usd and with my Northwest miles.

The 4-hour flight is smooth and I reached Kuala Lumpur airport at around nine pm. When I went to the carousel to claim my box, the rope that is tied around it to make it easy to carry, s gone. Thanks to the Japanese guy whom I met in the queue, who helped me with my box.

After passing through the immigration, I met Mr Quek who brought me to Ehsan Ria condominium.

The Malaysian adventure begins.

... senseless yet funny

While in a jump-packed elevator, I heard someone loudly utter,
"Para kang taba ... you make my heart ached"

It seems totally senseless but the way it's delivered - it's funny.

... that's explains it

I found this test to determine my dominant intelligence ... here's the result:

Your Dominant Intelligence is Logical-Mathematical Intelligence

You are great at finding patterns and relationships between things.
Always curious about how things work, you love to set up experiments.
You need for the world to make sense - and are good at making sense of it.
You have a head for numbers and math ... and you can solve almost any logic puzzle.

You would make a great scientist, engineer, computer programmer, researcher, accountant, or mathematician.
